Why is is that when the sun shines and there is little else to do than stay indoors and avoid the summer heat, that inevitably a person's mind turns to reflection? Maybe it is not the warm summer sun, but instead the rapidly approaching new year that causes the response! Whatever it might be, I can't help but think about how each year brings such great change, even if we don't see it in our day to day actions. 2007 has been a particularly big 'non-event' year for me. There weren't any major life changes or particularly extraordinary events, but there were a multitude of little things that made me make many choices about who I am, who I want to be and what I value. It is only upon reflection that I am realising how significant this past year has been. Sometimes it is good to remind ourselves that the everyday is indeed significant, and worthy of the greatest observation...
